THE 2025 STAGES

5 stages (total approx 650KM)+ 1 PROLOGUE DUO TT

The 2025 Granfondo Yunnan will visit the same cities as in 2024, following the successful major redesign last year. However, some of the race courses will change considerably. On the race schedule are five genuine stages for a total distance of 650+ km (long distance category) that are part of the General Classification of Granfondo Yunnan.

New in 2025: a Prologue Duo TT! A short time trial of approx 10km in duo format, reminiscent of the legendary Trofeo Baracchi (which was of course much longer). The Duo TT will take place in Mangshi on Friday, 31 October and will NOT count for the General Classification of Granfondo Yunnan. The Duo TT will be open for 500 teams, i.e 1000 riders maximum, and will be held in the categories male, female and mixed.

The regular Granfondo Yunnan event will start in Dehong - Mangshi in Yunnan’s Southwestern corner near Myanmar and the first official stage on Saturday, 1 November. The finish line after one week of cycling will again be drawn in Xishuangbanna - Jinghong, near the border with Thailand. Both cities have airports, Xishuangbanna in particular is well-connected within China and even Hong Kong. As always, Yunnan is a mountainous province so expect quite a bit of climbing at elevated altitudes. There will be 2 longer bus transfers on Monday and Wednesday, which will allow participants to prepare and recover from the Queen’s Stage in Lincang - Fengqing.
