THE 6 STAGES
The 2019 Granfondo Yunnan once again offers five regular stages and a prologue time trial for full tour long distance participants. The action begins on Saturday, 2 November, with the prologue of 8.6 km in Mangshi! One week later, the finish is as always at high altitude in Lijiang - one of Yunnan's biggest tourist drawcards. As always, there’s also a short distance option for beginning cyclists, which begins on Sunday, 3 November.
SAT 2 NOV - PROLOGUE TIME TRIAL : It's DEHONG TIME!
As in 2018, in the spirit of the world’s biggest cycling races, an individual prologue time trial opens Granfondo Yunnan on a fast but twisty course and an uphill nirvana finish!

SUN 3 NOV - stage 1: The border ride
The first mass start stage serves as a good appetizer with a manageable course of just over 100 km.
Long distance: 105 km
Short distance: 43 km
mon 4 NOV - stage 2 - THE RIVER RIDE
A bit of false flats and one moderate climb through an ethnic mountain village after 20 km, before you will be rolling comfortably along the long Yingjiang river. However, the finish lies in Tongbiguan after a long and steep climb : the Col du Daonong

WED 6 NOV: stage 3 - Along gaoligong
The most beautiful and challenging stage of the week for many people with a 200 km course: how many times can you do that in China? As cherry-on-the-pie, there is the cobblestone climb, The Wall of Tian Tai, at km 62
Long distance: 190 km
Short distance: 60 km
fri 8 NOV: stage 4 - the lake ride
On paper the fastest and easiest stage around Erhai Lake in pictoresque Dali, and a classic in Chinese cycling with many people coming to compete in just this one.
Long distance: 115 km
Short distance: 40 km
sat 9 NOV: stage 5 - the sky ride
The big finale with two climbs and a 1km vertical loss descent. The final climb to the finish at Maoniuping has an elevation gain of 1500 hm.
